How To Experience True Freedom

There are plenty of ways that we constrain ourselves in our daily lives. Forcing ourselves to work jobs we don't really enjoy, but do anyway because we need the money. Choosing to sink all of our money into a house that may or may not increase in value. Choosing one person to be in a relationship with for the rest of our lives. Sure, these are all desirable in their own way and we wouldn't do them unless that offered a net benefit. But sometimes we need to break free from our self-imposed chains and experience the primordial freedom that made our species conquer the planet.

One way to do this is to go on a road trip. We are all hunters and gatherers at heart. Sure, we live in cities and we haven't lived the nomadic life for thousands of years. But it's still in our blood. Once in a while we've just got to hit the open road without a plan or destination, and just move. This can give us an opportunity to touch our deep roots of where we came from.

The good news about this is that you can experience this if you are single, or if you've got a large family with plenty of kids. No matter who you are or how old you are, everybody can benefit from a nomadic weekend getaway. It will touch that ancient desire to travel that's in all of us.

The trick is to make sure everybody knows that the actual destination is not the focus of the journey. Getting there is. Spending some time on the road just traveling, and watching the scenery pass by and slowly morph from one geographical style into another. There's something to be said from starting out in a beach side environment, traveling through some mountains and finding the high plains on the other side.

If your really want to experience true nomadism, take a motorcycle trip instead of a car trip. And instead of staying hotels, bring a sleeping pad and some outdoor supplies and camp out. Sure, you'll have to make sure you're not breaking any local laws. Nobody wants to get hassled by the cops. But even state campgrounds can give you that real caveman feel.

There are plenty of places you can rent a motorcycle for this very purpose. Getting a license isn't all that difficult, and once you get one they are good for a few years. If you truly want to experience the freedom of our long ago ancestors, take an overnight motorcycle trip somewhere. You won't regret it.

Many people use motorcycle engines for sale as their number one source of information on planning exciting motorcycle trips. Check them out today to expand your mind.
